The Brookfield Journals is the story of a child genius. D. P. Lane has interpreted the books from the diaries or journals written by Samantha Brookfield and Rupert Harris. The story picks up again approximately two and a half years later when Charge Nurse Harris goes to work at an assisted living facility with a notorious reputation. There he is found by Samantha. The reader will have to discover by themselves what follows next.

How can one not adore the main character. I also read the second book and although I finished it , about half way through it kind of got monotonous so I just skimmed the last four or five chapters
Not sure if I would purchase a third book. May just take the story as offered in first two books and leave it at that

An easy read. Sweet enough to take my mind off things for a while. Did leave me wanting to know more.

I loved this book. The story is delightful, engaging, and I couldn't put it down.
This story is a refreshing change of pace from vampires, witches, werewolves, and hobbits. Readers will find themselves rooting for Charge Nurse Harris, and charming Samantha. Read it before bedtime and I am sure you will go to sleep worrying whether Samantha is safely tucked into bed, or not somehow stolen away!
An enchanting tale of a young male nurse and the tiny orphan he adopts. Filled with love, joy, and compassion. This is a great story for both adults and children alike.
Delightful and human. Loved it
Written by a friend from school and boy was I surprised! It’s is an enchanting story! The characters are delightful and the story intriguing. I highly recommend this one and look forward to the sequel.
